Experiences after a miscarriage

Hello. I have just joined this forum as i would really like support and to speak to people in similar situations. I had a miscarriage on 6th March, after a 12 week scan that showed a blighted ovum. I bled for around three weeks afterwards, had a stressful experience of retained tissue, the pregnancy being sent away for testing for suspected molar (it wasn’t) and weeks of positive pregnancy tests.
We are trying again but I am so frustrated and upset with my body. Since the bleeding from the miscarriage stopped for a few weeks, I have had two heavy bleeds in two weeks. I thought I was ovulating at the weekend due to increased EWCM, but I got a period instead. I just don’t know what my body is upto and it’s now 8 weeks since the miscarriage.
I just wondered if anyone had any similar experiences they could share? Any support would be lovely :)

Thank you
Xx

Hello,

I have had three miscarriages and totally understand the desperation for everything to get back to normal and start trying again. I am so sorry for your loss.

Your body is adapting and times to return to normal hormonal levels can vary. Since you had prolonged positives tests it will take longer I guess although I'm not a doctor. Smile
In all my three , the times varied. I would take it as a good sign about the bleeds, as something is happening with rebalancing hormones. Hopefully soon it should settle.

Being frustrated and desperate to try again is totally normal and exactly how I felt. You have to come to terms with what happened so listen to your body and the signs it's giving you to recover physically and emotionally so you are ready for your rainbow baby to be conceived xxx 🌈
Good luck x
