I'm 4w3d and a beta hcg showed 11. Faint positives on hpt's since Sunday.

Today i have cramping and light bleeding.

I've spoken to the Gp who said it could mean i was pregnant but aren't anymore. She has referred me for an urgent scan. I don't know when that will be.

Has anyone else experienced this and can advise me what to expect?

I'm at work, can't leave, but finishing early. Can't concentrate but feel a bit numb.

Thanks x

I'm sorry you're having a difficult time @jinglybell. I don't know if they'll scan you yet as there won't be much to see. I had a scan at 6+6 and they said beforehand that they didn't expect to see much. The epu might measure your blood levels instead. Unfortunately there's not a lot they can do.

My story didn't have a happy ending but hoping you have a positive outcome Flowers

Deeping numb is normal, you'll be up and down for a while. It's so shit, look after yourself xx

Thank you venus, im still bleeding so have no hope now. We've been trying for a year and nothing until now.

Will i still need to go for a scan?

Hi @jinglybell didn't want to read and run.
I had a chem last month, +ive's at 3+5, bleeding at 4+1. There isn't a lot they can scan for unless they're checking for retained tissue, again not going to be a lot of it. I didn't bother going to GP/EPU.

So sorry this is happening to you xx

Hi Bently, sorry you've bern through this too. I wasn't bleeding as much this morning when i spoke to the Gp and she referred me for an emergency scan.

I don't see much point now myself really, i guess i could just tell them I've got my period and don't need it.

I'm not sure I would bother with the upset of going for a scan? Unless you have an hcg over 1000 nothing can be seen on an internal scan? X

Hi, I’ve been through pretty much exactly the same. Conceived on Clomid, first BFP ever. I was just on 4 weeks when I found out. Had weird pains, went to EPAU, discovered a UTI and my HCG was 32 (pregnant, but low level).

Went back 2 days later, had an internal scan but they could see nothing abnormal - but couldn’t see anything either as I was so early. Unfortunately, my HCG had gone down to 7, which meant an early miscarriage/probable chemical pregnancy.

I’ve spent the last two days bleeding very heavily with severe cramps. Hopefully I’m over the worst of it now, and can get on with restarting Clomid next month.

From my experience, there’s no point going for the scan because they won’t be able to see anything. HCG levels are the biggest indicator.

Hope you’re ok. I’m off work this week, going back on Monday and I’m struggling quite a bit. Sending you lots of love xx
