Low dose asprin

Hello all I've just had an appointment with a gynaecologist this morning I've had three non consecutive losses and find myself pregnant again without a period from last miscarriage. Gynaecologist was we can't help etc as the losses haven't followed each other etc which I expected plus being pregnant now kinda throws things in the air. He said all he could maybe suggest was asprin although he doesn't think it will make much difference but if I'm willing to try it's up too me. It wasn't the best appointment so I'm here to ask advice from anyone else who has used low dose asprin? I'm willing to try anything thanks 😊

Hi Luna,

Sorry to hear about your losses and what the gynae was like. But congratulations on the pregnancy!

I've just had my third loss but this is the furthest I have gotten in my pregnancies to date. My first two miscarriages I got to about 7 weeks or so but never got to see anything on the scan.. this time, I started to take baby aspirin (75mg) before conceiving and carried on and I saw a heartbeat. But due to haemorrhage, the nurse told me to stop as no one told me to take it.. then that's when my babys heartbeat had stopped. I will never know whether it had help but I believe it did for me and when I stopped that's when our baby stopped growing.

Wish you the best and have a lovely pregnancy Flowers

I am under the care of a recurrent miscarriage clinic and asked about taking aspirin- told it was a big no no unless your specialist has said you have a medical need as it can actually do more harm than good x

Hi thanks for reply sorry for delay I don't seem to receive notifications when I have a response. I took two doses of the asprin and started bleeding and having been having very brown discharge since so I think it's the beginning of the end of this pregnancy too x
