How recent was the miscarriage?

Lovestruk · 24/04/2019 00:29

Mmc still passing "material" had a scan today and she said she thinks it's mainly blood but coming to the end now I think.

Sorry to hear that Flowers
I would probably speak to a doctor about the fever. It could be a sign of an infection.

MellowMelly · 24/04/2019 00:40

Love the old school thermometer by the way!

Lovestruk · 24/04/2019 00:48

Haha I think it's a dinosaur it keep coming up all different readings, what kind of infection though they said today everything looked clear on internal scan, just don't wanna be sick so maybe I'll pop into GP tomorrow x

I had an infection with my miscarriage years ago. Like you it all seemed ok on the scan but by the next morning I had a fever and felt pretty ill. It can apparently happen sometimes and fairly quick.

Just best to get some advice today xx

Definitely see the GP today. Insist on today and go to A and E if you don't get to speak to a doctor. Shoulder pain can be referred pain from gynaecological source.

It's not quite the same but I had retained placenta, and had antibiotics tablets first. When it didn't settle I had to go to theatre which I was dreading, but actually it was fine. No pain at all afterwards.
Sorry you're going through this.

Lovestruk · 24/04/2019 09:47

Doc has no appointments today now I'm worried, should I go buy a digital one and check, ffs or should I just go to hospital and where so I even go maternity of regular now I'm just in tears again can't seem to get over this whole mess xxx

I’d try and get a GP appointment.
When I had my miscarriage last year I was prescribed metronidazole as a precautionary measure, I presumed this was the usual procedure?

Lovestruk · 24/04/2019 10:11

Thanks @GreyDuck had epu yesterday I'm still going through miscarrige and told her about shoulder pain, she said it common because of bleeding irritating pelvis or something but assured me it was normal now I'm worried, they didn't take my temperate or bloods at epu just internal scan said there was some left but thought it was mainly blood and I am still passing it, no @HalfBloodPrincess they didn't give me anything and just keep telling me everything is normal although that's what they told me on the phone when I rang about spotting before miscarrige. Thanks everyone I have to go doc @ 11 for sicknote for work so if he doesn't see me should I go a&e? And in normal hospital or maternity? Xxx

And sorry for your losses girls x

HalfBloodPrincess · 24/04/2019 10:42

I’d insist that the GP addresses it. Tbh if you have a fever when you’re there then I doubt they will just send you away with nothing.

And thank you Flowers
Mine was actually a year ago today - feels kind of bittersweet as I’m 36 weeks pregnant, but I’m lighting a candle for my lost baba, and will be thinking of yours too.
I hope you have some real life support but feel free to pm me if you need an anonymous shoulder x

Lovestruk · 24/04/2019 11:15

Doctor is a nice man tried to give me pills and an extended sick note not that I need it my boss called me today to fire me. It's lucky I have thick skin I tell you. I had a kidney infection with mine although that probably wasn't helped by the fact I hardly drink and I hold my wee in a lot when I'm out on calls at work

Lovestruk · 24/04/2019 23:51
