Bleeding after erpc

Hi, I sadly suffered a missed miscarriage last month after going for a reassurance scan at 9 weeks to find the baby had stopped developing at 6 weeks. I had surgical management 2 weeks later and I'm now nearly 3 weeks on and still bleeding, only lightly but also getting clots when wiping. They said if I was still bleeding after 3 weeks then I might need to go back in. But it's light, it's just the clots I'm worried about. Has anyone else had this or bled longer? I just want it to be over.

Hi Dreamer, have you done a pregnancy test? I'd call the hospital (emergency gynae or EPAU) and tell them you're worried about retained products and infection and hopefully they will get you in for a scan to check things out. They might try and fob you off with "every woman is different, you can bleed for up to four weeks" but I'd tell them it's got worse and need to be checked. Sorry you're going through this.

I agree - contact your early pregnancy unit and tell them about your concerns. At the very least, they should be able to advise you over the phone and put your mind to rest or they might suggest another scan. I hope they're helpful. It's hard to go through this and deal with this worry on top of your loss too, I know. Wishing you the very best x

I had one on Monday and they told me I shouldn't have clots and if I do to ring them. Hope all is ok.
