Is this normal? Natural miscarriage

I'm under epu and have an appointment for a follow up scan on Wednesday (my 3rd for this pregnancy). My dates would put me at 10 weeks.

First scan on 15 March showed collapsing, empty sac, follow up scan on 29 March showed a 5 week pregnancy with yolk sac and foetal pole present with no sign of the other empty sac. So the scan on Wednesday coming is to see if it's viable. However, I started miscarrying last week with contractions and big clots Wednesday / Thursday last week so I thought it was over. But in the early hours of Sunday morning and today I have been woken by severe cramping and more clots. I was very anxious and upset when going to bed last night in case I was woken up with the cramps again. And I was :(

Is this normal for a miscarriage? I thought I had passed everything past week. I've been incredibly emotional over the weekend as well. I'm scared.

Until you pass the sac and deciduous cast (lining of the uterus) which may be all in go unfortunately the bleeding can carry on for a while especially if they're are retained produces x

Thank you for your reply. I thought I had passed the sac when I had about 6 hours of contracting last week (although not checked as I was on the toilet). I think I might have passed some lining as had something spongy / fleshy on Sunday. The whole thing is just so sad 😔 x
