First period post Miscarriage.

Hello. Right. This is my first miscarriage. Just looking to know if this is within the range of normal. Whatever normal may be....

Started miscarrying at 11wks. It was missed miscarriage, baby stopped growing at 6 wks. Had a few weeks of bleeding. Then a break for 2 weeks.

Then I started bleeding again. Which I think was first period. Started 3 weeks ago. Was pretty normal period like period. Until day 8, when it just didn’t properly stop. I’m still very mildly bleeding, which switches to just the brown stuff, then back to blood. Plus I’m now started ovulating. Is a 3 week period pretty standard? Particularly when you are ovulating at the same time?

Hi @NightDreaming yes completely normal, I bled for 2/nearly 3 weeks after my miscarriage and also ovulated too. If your feeling unsure though go and see a doctor to put your mind at ease, it's a difficult time x

Has the hospital definitely confirmed you have passed the pregnancy? Only reason I say that is my first miscarriage was very similar - found out at 12 week scan but baby stopped growing weeks before - when the miscarriage started there was A LOT of blood? It wasn't like a standard period at all?

I would also say you won't get your period until you pass the deciduous caste (uterine lining) which might be all in one go - and then it might be 4-5 weeks before your cycle starts again x
