Anybody else in limbo land?

Anyone else out there waiting for their follow up early scan after the first one was inconclusive? I've been here so many times and it's the pits. I'm so lucky to have a healthy little girl 20 months old but had 2 MMCs before her, 1 after and now it looks like another. I'll hopefully find out on Mon. I hate this in between stage and all the waiting and wondering.
Pregnancy symptoms dwindling and I'm not expecting good news...

Slow rising HCG that then jumped andsome brown spotting. 3 previous early miscarriages. I can see my body is really trying this time but all this spotting can’t be good. Waiting for scan on Tuesday to see if ectopic.
Keeping fingers crossed for you.
It’s hard and cruel to go through it over and over again but never give up x

Just came out of it today after follow up scan. Bad news obviously. Now waiting for Monday and hospital appointment to reconfirm (previously fertility clinic) and plan next steps. Second pregnancy and second loss in a year.

I have to say: it’s better to know than be in limbo. When you’re in limbo there’s still hope and that is categorically the worst thing.

I’m sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself and like is said - please don’t give up. Life sucks. I found out about this pregnancy just before DH was diagnosed with cancer so this little bean is kind of our last hope at the moment (although we have banked some sperm for future) and if this doesn’t go well I’ll never give up x

holly what an emotional and stressful time for you I'm so sorry :( Why do they think ectopic? It's good that you have some sperm banked for later use. You're rainbow will come if not this time then once hubby is better x

livid I'm so sorry it was bad news my last one was only in Nov and my first 2 were Nov and Feb last time actually (just realised this. Rubbish months!) so all been close together and it really takes it out of you doesn't it. Make sure you take as much time as you need after to recuperate and grieve.

My symptoms went and I almost felt like my old self again but they came back with a vengeance yesterday. Crazy hormones and exhaustion. Who knows what my body is upto??!

Yes, me too. Second round of IVF in three months and I suspect my second early loss since DS (almost 2). Tests fading to nothing but not bleeding yet as still on fertility meds which I believe is holding it off. Got a gp appointment at lunchtime to ask for bloods to confirm. Not sure how helpful they'll be as this was privately funded

@Katniss - my GP have been good even with private IVF. A few weeks ago when it snowed, they agreed to do an emergency HCG test that morning as I couldn’t get to the fertility clinic in the weather and needed a 48hr follow up. I find crying down the phone helps, not that I need to put it on or anything...

@Livid21 funny you should say that. I just cried at my doctor and they agreed to blood tests and got me in straight away. It's just awful isn't it. GP suggested counselling because I seem upset I know she's trying to be helpful but two miscarriages in three months- I think it's pretty normal to have a cry at that!

@Katniss - absolutely take the counselling though. My fertility clinic gave me free access to their counsellor as often as I wanted last year (after my first mc nearly physically killed me) and I'd say it's invaluable!

I had my 12 week scan 2 days ago and they said that the sac was empty and was measuring 8 weeks. The ultrasound technician was almost certain that I have miscarried yet I have to wait a week for a confirmation scan. I am certain of my dates and my nausea ended at around 8 weeks.

I don't see why I should have to wait for a follow up scan when she confirmed the miscarriage at the first scan. If the sac is measuring 8 weeks then it can't be that I'm just early and my dates are wrong, they would be able to pick up a heartbeat at 8 weeks. I really don't want to miscarry at home so I don't see why they couldn't have given me the options 2 days ago at my scan.

Also she said I could miscarry at any point before my confirmation scan and that it would just be like a heavy period. I have done some further reading on this an that is absolutely not true, especially with an 8 week sac. I think she was trying to spare me but I prefer to be informed and know what to expect.

I have also read that sometimes after the cofirmation scan if you want the surgery you may have to wait a week or more after that! I can't stand all this waiting around. I'm currently off work but I can't be off for all this time while waiting and I don't want it to start when I'm in a client meeting.

May I join? Also in limbo here. BFP 14 days ago.Started bleeding a week ago. HCG levels havent dropped to the extent that they shouldve. Nothing visible on scan but being monitored via bloods to rule out an ectopic. Trying to use the wait as an enforced rest but its so hard not to fret.

sdeebs I'm in a similar position - although started having minor cramps and light bleeding, which is why they scanned and found a perfectly formed but empty sac. I'm being rescanned on Saturday. I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this horrible waiting too.
The consultant was very nice but said to go to work as "it makes no difference if you miscarry at work or home" - I know it doesn't affect the miscarriage itself but I'm very anxious about it starting at work or during my commute (1hr15m each way into central London).
They said they'll discuss options on Saturday. I just want it to be over. I feel so stuck.
My DBIL & SIL have just announced their pregnancy too so I think we are going to have to tell the in-laws as I can't face all the baby chat.

I was going to go to work but then I woke up feeling like I was getting my period and after reading some mumsnet threads about how heavy the bleeding was I decided not to.

I have been working remotely and am actually getting more done.

I find what your consultant said a little insensitive. I'm pretty sure no one wants to miscarry at work!

I was having cramps last night so I think it's going to start soon.

The consultant was lovely otherwise, I guess she thought I could be waiting around at home for a week with nothing happening, but I do wish my work would offer the option to WFH.
My cramps stopped on Saturday, I've had a dull ache on and off but no sign of nature taking care of it. I'm pretty angry at my body right now.

I hope yours is a quick and painless as possible. Very un-mumsnetty hugs all round to everyone in this shitty situation!

@sdeebs your experience sounds exactly like mine. Spotting at 10 weeks, had scan at 10+4, told embryo stopped growing at 5w, no hb. Wouldnt book me for ERPC or give me medical management until follow up scan 1 week later due to NICE guidelines. I didnt know whether to work or not or leave the house in the meantime in case it started. The wait for ERPC was another 2 weeks. MW told me it would be like a heavy period. Before my 2nd scan I miscarried at home. It was the most horrific experience with labour-like contractions and bleeding so much that I couldnt move from the toilet. Never been in so much pain and no way could I have been anywhere else but home. Needless to say I was not happy with the MW when I went back in the week after for not giving me details of all possible scenarios. I dont want to scare you but I wish someone had told me what it may be like before it happened. But everyones mmc is different so you may be luckier than me and not have as much pain.

@LuckyA it's ok I've read loads of comments from other miscarriage threads where people describe the pain and contractions so I'm aware. My cramps are slightly worse today and I've started bleeding this afternoon. Guess it's going to happen at home then!

Just started bleeding with a second MMC since April.
First MMC was found on what should have been the 12 week scan. No heartbeat, growth had stopped at 9 weeks. Bled heavily and ended up with surgery 3 days later.
This time, had cramping and a little spotting almost 2 weeks ago. EPU scanned me, and was measuring 5 weeks, not 7, with no visible embryo, just a sac. Had a repeat scan almost a week ago, some growth but still no visible fetal pole. Booked in for more surgery next Wednesday, with a final scan beforehand, to double check. But started bleeding last night. Still light, but any post hope that I had, is rapidly fading.
I had 2 chemical pregnancies before DD, and now 2 MMC. So far this year, I've had 5 months of constant nausea, and I still have nothing to show for it.

I had my third and hopefully final scan today. They confirmed MMC, the sac is still empty and the yolk sac is gone.
They gave me three options; expectant, medical or surgical. DH has to go to America with work on 6 August so I think we'll go for surgical. I was too upset to decide (I've been really emotional today, over everything) but think surgical is the best bet for it being over before he goes.
They said there should be appointments this week, but there were 9 people waiting to be seen by the doctor today and it could be up to 4 hours wait for blood tests etc before they could book the surgery, so I'm going back first thing Monday for the pre-op bloods etc instead.

I'm in limbo but of a different kind. Missed miscarriage confirmed on 15th July (should have been 12+1, baby measured at 8+5 with no heartbeat), opted for medical management and took 4 misoprostol on the morning of the 17th. Started with brown spotting later that day, this continued for 3 days then stopped, spoke to EPAU and they just told me to wait. Brown spotting on and off, called again and was told to wait until it's been 3 weeks and do a test, if positive call back. Red blood started 29th July, had bad pains for around 25 minutes then it just went away. Still light bleeding, no pains and no sign of anything passing, just a few small clots. Feels like the whole thing is being dragged out and I'm dreading when the baby does pass because I know itll be like reliving it all again. I had a normal pregnancy, some pains at 7 weeks but we had a scan and saw the babies heartbeat, we were told everything looked perfect. Not sure how we got from there to here. I feel like EPAU are being too dismissive and the only way I can get any kind of medical attention before the 3 week test is if I start with bleeding heavy enough to go to A&E.

Discovered we were expecting mid June when my period was due

BFP test

Due to history we had a early scan where the pregnancy was confirmed but it was just a sac with developing pole

Was rescanned a week ago to my surprise no heartbeat and not measuring as it should

Miscarriage was confirmed Friday 26th by the sonographer- heavy bleeding and cramps started Sunday 28th

I'm so confused - this is our 3rd in a row. Our last one was at 12/13 weeks was offered a D&C

The bleeding is horrible this time and pain is constant

I'm hoping it all stops soon

How long did the bleeding and pain last for you ladies
