Ectopic?

This will be my fourth miscarriage/chemical but this time they want to scan me tomorrow because they think it might be ectopic.

11DPO - 32
13 DPO - 40

Progesterone 49

Anyone have any experience also anyone know why they are doing a scan at 4+2. Surely they won’t see a thing!

It can take time for your hormone levels to rise, so hopefully they'll start to double.

They're doing a scan because they want to check your Fallopian tubes as they'll be able to see any bulges there which indicates an ectopic

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I've had 2 ectopic pregnancies. I had 1 cornual and I had to have surgery, and 1 with unknown location which resolved itself.

Just make sure you keep an eye out on symptoms, even though you're too early for anything to happen - still be mindful. Hopefully all is well Thanks

Thanks for your reply. On 19DPO my HCG was 207 so has doubled within the time frame. Hey have booked me for a scan next Tuesday but yesterday I had some red blood on one wipe and today some brown - I called the EPU and they said wait until Tuesday but I’m terrified it’s ectopic and will rupture. My husband is on round 2 of 6 of chemo and I’m caring for him. I can’t be hospitalised too. I did explain that to them but they didn’t want to scan me yet. I hope they have made the right call! I guess I have to trust they know what they are doing

Hey, I recently had an ectopic and they didn't want to scan me straight away as they said it would be too early, which is why I had to wait a few days. I had bleeding right at the start but no other symptoms, no pain or anything. Had a total of 3 scans but they never found it on the scans, just knew for sure it wasn't in my uterus so it was bad news unfortunately. Got my fingers crossed for you that it all is fine xx
