Finally AF after 11 1/2 weeks!

Hi ladies, it's an odd one but I'm basically posting in celebration!!

FINALLY, 11 1/2 weeks after my loss I am getting my normal period.

I know I ovulated about 12 days ago so I think that's what did it.

I know this might not normally be something to celebrate but I've been waiting patiently (and sometimes impatiently) for my body to return to normal. It gives me hope that we can start properly trying again....

How long did it take for your cycles to resume normally?

@MollyFaith00 you don’t realise how much I needed to read that. I’m exactly 11 weeks since my EPRC procedure following a MMC and I’ve had no sign of AF! I’m so worried that my doctor has referred me for an ultrasound to check everything is normal. I thought it was just me who was waiting this long, I can only imagine your joy right now! Good luck for future pregnancies x

@Eantonette I'm so pleased to help somebody!! Honestly I was worrying myself to death about it when it was going on so long without a period. I was so happy when it arrived today I wanted to give people in my situation some hope! I had convinced myself my MC had messed up my system forever.

I also got sent for a scan. The doctor wasn't worried at all she just did it to appease me . And of course when they scanned me everything was fine - they just said 'be patient' which is easier said than done.

How many weeks were you?

I was 18 + 5 but the baby had died a bit before so it was also classed as a MMC.

Every post I’ve read seemed to say that people were getting their AF 4-6 weeks post miscarriage so I was wondering what was wrong with me! My doctor also isn’t worried but has put in urgent referral as I’m so anxious, just needed the reassurance.

Aww I’m so sorry to hear that. I was 11 weeks when I had a scan that showed no beat. It’s just so cruel!
