Hi all,

Is it normal to experience diarrhea with a miscarriage?

I went to out of hours last night to be told that I had an inevitable miscarriage. I was very early (around 4 weeks). Terrible cramping pain in my lower abdomen and back. Had spotting for around 4days until yesterday morning when I stood up and blood / clots just fell out. I slept / rested most of the day, apart from changing pads.

Bleeding has slowed down lots today but still experiencing nausea and diarrhea (had it for about the last 4/5 days too).

Sorry for you loss Flowers
Yes, it’s not unusual, due to the hormone changes. Like dome women get diarrhoea/looser bowel actions with their periods. Or it could be a coincidental tummy bug, there’s a lot about at the moment.
Try to keep hydrated and eat whatever you can manage, if you don’t improve then get back in touch with your GP/OOH.

Thank you @FadedRed.

I'm not really sure how to feel about it all right now. Just want to get past this physical discomfort.

Hopefully rest and hydration will help, thank you :)
