Possible miscarriage??

Hi,
I found out I was pregnant around 2 weeks ago. I had spotted probably once a week but was told it is common in 2nd pregnancy and not to worry. Yesterday I woke up and was bleeding heavily with some large clots. I visited my g.p and she has booked me in for a scan tomorrow morning. Tying to stay positive but my instincts tell me I've miscarried.. anyone experienced the same and had a positive outcome? I am writing this also as I can hopefully provide answers for others with my scan being tomorrow morning but would like a last bit of hope! X

Sorry to say, but that does sound like a miscarriage. I had two miscarriages at about 7-8 weeks and although I had much heavier cramps and a few bigger clots over a couple of days that made it super obvious, to start with it was just slightly heavier bleeding than spotting. I was the same and hoping it wasn’t that, but no surprise when they scanned and confirmed it.

They also did a blood test with a follow up a few days later to check no ectopic pregnancy etc. And just to warn you, the scan is internal (per-vagina) so all a bit unpleasant but at the early pregnancy unit near here they were absolutely lovely and so kind to me. Best of luck.

Thank you for your response. I felt a gut instinct something wasn't quite right from the start, but with no real reason. I think tomorrow may be more of a confirmation for me rather than waiting around in the unknown. I am a firm believer in what's meant to be will be but I have to say it is heart breaking! X
