hi all.

could anyone who has had an erpc/d and c or a natural m/c share their first cycle after either leading to a bfp or first period.

i had an erpc on the 8th november, baby had died on the 31st october at 7 weeks+6. i had a day of real blood then brown spotting on and off for 9ish days in total. i have not been checking opks or anything like that but i had weird ewcm last monday but since then ive had so much cervical mucus. its been in abundance mixing between white thick and ewcm. sorry i know noone is a doctor and cycles can be different but its horrible not knowing what to expect or when/if first period is coming. also i know i dont have hcg floating around as have had negative tests last week.

just curious how long it took people to fall again or to get their period.

truly sorry for everyone here it was one of the most heart wrenching moments of my life and i hope to never feel heartbreak like it again or anyone else who has sadly gone through it. everyone is incredibly brave.

My period took 3-4 weeks to come after and it was awful, so so painful and heavy. I had an MMC in May got pregnant in Aug but turned out to be a CP, currently 9w.

Hi @Hopex3, sorry for your loss. I had ERPC on 21st Sept. It'll be 11 weeks on Friday and I'm still waiting for AF. I've got an appointment with my GP tomorrow for some advice. I have also experienced the same mixture of abundant cervical mucus. I used be able to track my cycle by that before but now I have no clue what's going on. I've order some ovulation sticks to monitor if I'm ovulating or not. Can't wait to get back to normal... good luck, hopefully yours will come soon x

thank you, 11 weeks is horrid its very sad as just want to get back to normal. so just to make it that bit more confusing and painful, i had 4 tests come back positive yesterday however this was first response and clearblue. the negative test i did last week was a boots own brand. definitley not thinking its a new pregnancy 4 weeks later although have not been preventing but its just really messing with my head. i am assuming that the reason these ones have come back positive is because they are more sensitive then the boots one i did last week. any thoughts?

ladybug i hope you get some answers that seems a horribly long time to be in limbo

Hi I had ERPC at 13.5 weeks after medical management didn't quite work- placenta did not come away. This was the 1st October. Had a period after 6 weeks and I think another period now- my cycles are usually 25 days and there was 24 days between first period and the start of this one. so that is about right. However, I bled for two weeks with my first period and spotting all the way until my second. I have been having tests for hcg and still not quite back to baseline- but nearly there. Was 7 a week ago when I went to drs again. This doesn't come up on a pregnancy test though.

Btw- preg tests were positive for me about 7 weeks after still. My hcg stayed at 25 for ages.

It's going down now and body ( I hope) will slowly get back to normal after second period

I thought I'd come back and update. Yesterday, 19 weeks after the ERPC, my period showed up. I've been having cycle pains every four weeks since end of November which led me to think I could have Ashermans. Hormone tests were normal but ultrasounds in November and January both showed blood retained within the womb. Out of the sudden, a few days after the last ultrasound I woke up to find the retained blood had finally come out. Another ultrasound carried out by A. Lower on Monday this week confirmed my womb was blood free, the endometrium looked very healthy and the cervical canal was slightly narrow. It seems my body somehow fixed itself and broke some small adhesions in the cervix. Finally the light at the end of the tunnel!! xx
