Nervous about a six week Scan after two losses

I have had two losses. One at 11 weeks in June 2017 and one in April 2018 at 6 weeks.
Pregnant again and have my first scan on friday. So nervous and can't settle my self. Hoping for a rainbow baby 🌈 anybody else feeling the same ?

I'm really sorry to hear about your losses Thanks. That must have been really hard.
I had a MM with my first pregnancy and I can remember when I eventually got pregnant with my DS I was so anxious about going to the scans as the fear of history repeating itself was such a real fear for me.
I think I spoke to my midwife and got an early "reassurance scan" just to help curb my anxiety a bit.
I know it's easier said than done and I couldn't help my feelings of worry, but try to just relax as much as possible. Each pregnancy is different and your past experiences don't determine the outcome of all future pregnancies.
I hope everything goes well at your scan!
X

@cr1479 thanks so much for the reply. Wise words. I will be a ball of nervous for Friday. But fingers crossed baby in the right place. Glad you got your rainbow 👶🏻 after your heartache with miscarriage too. X

I had MMC in May & CP in Sept currently 9w (full of fear) I had a scan at 6w saw a HB baby was only 1.3mm had a rescan at 8w3d and saw HB again and was 17.9mm.

Fingers crossed for you x

Sorry to hear about your losses. Remember that what you're feeling is normal and anyone would feel nervous about the scan under these circumstances. I will be thinking about you and hoping for the best for you Xxx

@jay92 chemical pregnancy.

The Nurse before said to me you probably won't see one at 6w. The lady who scanned me said if you'd have come 2 days earlier we wouldn't have seen.x

Oh I'm silly didn't realise. Oh really? They weren't sure if my second was ectopic , although hcg was dropping itself nice and quick , so even to be in the right place 🤞🏻🤞🏻x

@jay92 when is your scan?

HalfBloodPrincess · 05/12/2018 09:26

I had a mc at 11+3 in April. Currently 16 weeks pregnant and I get nervous before every appointment and scan I’ve had so far. It’s natural to feel this way.
Hope everything is ok
