Stitch like pain after conception and miscarriage

Hi, sorry it’s a long one...

So I found out I was pregnant about 2 months ago and miscarried at 6 weeks. From just before I found out I was pregnant, I had a bit of lower abdominal pain, which felt like stitch in my ovaries (but who knows if that is my ovaries or not). It would come and go, but always more in the left side. It was not unbearable but I did wince every time it happened.

Anyway, I had some bleeding and got sent for an early scan where they confirmed that they couldn’t see any embryo but could see some clots in my womb. I had a blood test to check it wasn’t ectopic and got a phone call the next day to say that there was absolutely no sign of pregnancy in my blood at all. I then bled slightly heavier than a period for just over a week.

We decided we wanted to try again straight away so I was ovulation testing and although a little erratic, it seemed that I did ovulate around 2 weeks after the bleeding stopped. Throughout this time, I was still having this random stich like feeling. We did the deed and I’m now a few weeks later; I have irregular cycles so I’ve already decided to save myself the worry and I’ll do a pregnancy test After my longest cycle and missed period, if that happens. Then I’ll never know if it was a period or another miscarriage and we can just try again next month.

However, I’m STILL getting the stitch like pains. They are very random but definitely more focussed on my left side now. The nurse assured me I had no pregnancy hormone in me, and based on the erratic ovulation tests (I was running two at separate times alongside each other) it did seem to show that I did ovulate and this also ran in line with previous ovulation tests I’ve taken (I already have a LO) so I’m confident it wasn’t a false positive. So I’m not still pregnant and I am ovulating but the pain just hasn’t seemed to have stopped.

Any ideas what it could be? Should I just be getting it checked out? I’ve been on a weeks worth of antibiotics for a chest infection since the miscarriage and I’ve had a detailed MOT because of that and nothing flagged up. But then again they weren’t looking for it as I didn’t mention it thinking it would probably go!

TIA x
