I feel like it's happening again...

I was overjoyed to discover that I was pregnant again after a miscarriage a few months back. But today I've had stomach cramps and (sorry tmi) diarrhoea all day - I was hoping the cramps were just a tummy upset, but now I went to the loo and I'm bleeding a little bit. Not a lot, but more than just spotting.

I'm so scared that it's happening again. Sorry for the desperate-ish post - but I just don't know what to do :(

Sorry to read this, it is really difficult after an MC. A couple of times when I've had an upset stomach I've had odd spots of blood not sure if it's from wiping etc so it could be that.
I'd advise ringing your GP or going to ED my local EPAU don't normally see you under 7 weeks.
Fingers crossed for you

Thank you. Still bleeding a little bit on and off, but it's definitely slowed since yesterday. I have been having the same cramps and stomach pain, but I really think it may just be a stomach bug since I've been sick during the night as well. Going to call my GP practice when they open, but I doubt they'll advise me to come in with something contagious!!

The doctor called it a "threatened miscarriage" and said to go home, take it easy and "watch and wait", which seems to be pretty much all one can do at this stage.

I still have a little bit of bleeding, but not much. I've had horrible cramps, but I am now pretty sure that they are due to this stomach bug (I've been throwing up for 3 days - it's disgusting!).

If anyone has experience to share I'd be so happy to hear it. At the moment I feel like I'm in some weird kind of limbo!

@bellainthemiddle sounds a tough time for you, really hoping it's a bug. Can the GP not refer you to EPAU?

bellainthemiddle · 24/11/2018 13:36

They said to call on Monday if things haven't "settled" and they will refer me then. I am desperately hoping that it's all just the virus. I woke up with terrible pain in my lower stomach & lower back early this morning and was terrified, but it turned out to just be yet more stomach bug "effects" (sorry again for tmi!).

Have you sent a stool sample of @bellainthemiddle? It sounds very much like when I had campylobacter.

bellainthemiddle · 24/11/2018 18:15

Nope - because it had been less than 48h when I went so it seemed most likely to be a virus. But it has been going on for ages now and I am starting to worry! Not sure if I should seek medical advice before Monday or just wait it out...

If you aren't keeping fluids inside you I'd ring 111. @bellainthemiddle
