Possible miscarriage

a few months ago I was having really bad cramps and back ache I thought nothing of it really until I started bleeding extremely heavy and passed a fleshy clot it was like thick skin/tissue and purple and pink with some white bits too, it was long and like the length of my index finger I also had some pink bleeding after it had passed could this have been a miscarriage?

Also had some sticky thick pink stuff on the outside of one side

May have been may have not been. Sorry that is not helpful but the only way to know would have been to take a pregnancy test at the time. I have certainly passed similiar clots when not pregnanat and I had many note clots in both my miscarriages which were at 6 weeks.

Was there any reason for you to suspect you were pregnant?

Thank you for your response, I did have unprotected sex around 5 weeks before this happened and didn't think much of it when I started to suspect pregnancy it was too late and never got to find out

I am sorry to hear this. For the future and for anyone else if you suspect bleeding is a miscarriage then a pregnancy test should show up positive if a miscarriage.
