I had a miscarriage a couple of weeks ago - and really want to start trying again - I was thinking of after a few weeks. What do others think? If I did try and get pregnant ( i know unlikely as took ages last time....) would I be more likely to miscarry again? Worried as getting on and may not have many chances left

My sympathy goes to you horrible experience.
I had a miscarriage in the December and conceived again in the February. Everything was fine and had a lovely daughter.

I personally felt it helped me to focus on the future and getting pregnant again. Unfortunately it is very common but lots of people have no problems after a miscarriage.

Take care.

thankyou - its nice to hear a good story. I feel the same - that need to move on or else I will just wallow in self pity, but if it happens again then don't know how I will cope.....

I know it is hard but you just have to try to look forward. Is it the first time you have been pregnant? It was in my case which I think makes it harder.

I know of so many people who have had them but they all have had children. I have had 2 since.

I have a little boy - so I know that I am a lot luckier than most. Its the second time it has happened now - both unexplained - both where I had an early scan and saw the heartbeat and was told that there was a good chance that everything would be OK - only to then go for the 12 week scan and find out. This time round I spent the whole time till the scan thinking "something will go wrong" with everyone convincing me it was all OK - to then finding out that it wasn't. But after reading some of posts on this board today, I realise that things could be a lot worse..... thanks for your advice.
