Tests carried out after a late mc

Hi, I had a late mc last week which was medically managed. I consented to a full post mortem and was also told by the Dr treating me that my blood would be tested also.

It was all a blur at the time and now I have had time to reflect on everything I realised that I don't actually know what tests will be carried out on me. I called the bereavement midwife for advice and despite pressing, all she kept saying was "we test for everything". I have no idea what she means by this and am also conscious that without the relevant scans, my bloods may not tell the full story. I now feel in complete limbo with no real idea of what is happening and where to turn next. Do I press my GP for further testing or just wait and see what the hospital comes back with (which could be months)?

Any advice much appreciated.

Hi,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Ive just gone through my second mc this year and delivered at 16+5 last week.
I’ve been told what you were about my blood being tested for “allsorts” and the post mortem and swabs for the baby... but now the haze is lifting i would like to know a bit more. Did you find anything further out? I was told my appt would not be for 2-3 months x
