Hi everyone,
I'm winding myself up a treat worrying about this today, so I thought I'd see if anyone has any experience or insight...
I had my first miscarriage last May and my third one this August. My cycles used to be a pretty textbook 28 days and five days of normal ish bleeding. Since the first miscarriage they've been noticeably shorter at two to three days, and lighter. Since this last miscarriage I think they are possibly even lighter and also have more old blood and clots. There's also a longer "tail" with spotting up to day 10 of my cycle.
We were due to have our appointment at the recurrent miscarriage clinic this week, but after psyching ourselves up for that we got there and it turned out my GP had referred me to the wrong clinic. So we have to do that wait all over again, and in the meantime I am driving myself a bit crazy wondering if there is something wrong hormonally, or whether miscarriage has triggered perimenopause... I'm 37 and don't feel time is on my side as it is.
Has anyone experienced anything similar or had any advice about this? I'm trying to stay positive, but it's just so frustrating not being able to ask our questions this week after all, and this is dragging me back down!
Thank you,
R
