miscarriage 12 weeks

Hi all,

I have a question, i had a 12 week scan on 27th September, i was told baby stopped developing at 6 weeks, she was asking why no pain or bleeding yet, she booked me in for scan tomorrow to check for certain no extra growth as baby was 2.7mm at 12 week scan which isn't right, i have started light bleeding today and slight cramps could this be start of miscarriage? I wanted erpc tomorrow but i assume if it's started naturally they won't do it, any advice please x

Hi, so sorry you are going through this it’s so rubbish. It sounds a bit like how mine started. I got brown spotting which lasted a couple of days though was just at night, then it got a bit heavier over the next couple of days and with cramps. I didn’t actually have the miscarriage until 4 days later. I was going to get tablets the day after but they said as it started on it’s on they wanted to leave it. I know everyone is different, but my advice would be stay at home, rest and look after yourself. X

Being honest, you will get cramping and bleeding and at some point the foetus will come out. When that happens any pain will probably stop. Think about what you might want to do with the foetus. It's ok to keep it to bury. Don't feel like you have to flush it down the loo (happens a lot but usually because of a panic about whats best).3 months is a long time to be pregnant and a loss can be devastating. Take care x
