Feeling sick after mc - worrying or not?

Sorry for another stupid question - I'm sure I should be able to find this out, but I'm struggling to find the relevant info! I had a miscarriage yesterday at around 6/7 weeks (I had only done the pregnancy test a few days earlier, so hadn't done anything yet!). I haven't been to Dr / EPU, but I am getting a call from my GP surgery later today.

I'm just a bit concerned because I woke up in the night again with quite bad period-like crampy pains - perhaps the painkillers I had taken had worn off! I felt quite sick and threw up twice. Now I'm feeling better, but still a bit queasy, so I've decided to take another morning off work.

Is this 'normal' - or perhaps just a result of two broken nights? Or should I be concerned at all?

Sorry to be asking dumb questions - DP is away and I am feeling a bit lost, despite having told a couple of my lovely friends who have been round and things.

Thank you!

Still feeling rotten and managed to miss the doctors surgery call, so I'm a bit fed up! I'm now kind of umming and erring about whether to go to a walk in or what, but it seems a bit silly, 36 hours or so after the fact!

I didn't go in the end, but I've booked a GP appt for next week (although I expect it will be a bit pointless). I'm feeling a bit rubbish mood-wise but hoping that getting back to work tomorrow will improve things (or at least distract me!). Any advice will be very gratefully received :)

Final bump and then I'll stop bothering! :) Still feeling really queasy this morning and was sick in the early hours. I have decided to brave work, but not sure if this merits a visit to the UCC? It's hardly 'urgent' but I'd sort of like to know if everything is OK... Otherwise I'm fine, just a bit wiped out and slightly up and down mood-wise.

Thanks! :)

Hi bellainthemiddle, sorry you have not yet had a response. I am so sorry for your loss. How are you feeling now? It could well be your hormones and is quite understandable to be feeling unwell. Does your local hospital have an early pregnancy unit? They are always very helpful in my experience.

Hiya, thank you, it's really kind of you to get back to me :) I'm still feeling a bit under the weather (tired, sick and - randomly - cold!) but I am assuming that it's nothing to worry about, since it's not too severe. I managed to go to work today anyway. There is an EPU at a hospital not far from here, but it seems like you need a GP referral and I don't have one :s

At least it’s not to long until your GP appointment now xx

Hi bellainthemiddle, I miscarried on Wednesday at 10 weeks and today I feel very bloated and nauseous. I also had diarrhoea this morning just to top it all off! I’ve also been feeling cold. Sadly I think all of this is quite normal after a miscarriage from what I’ve read. We just have to get through it. I hope you feel better soon x
