Surely HCG should be 0 now?

Hi, I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks around 3 weeks ago.

My HCG at the time was only 250. I didn't go back for repeat bloods (3rd miscarriage and just sick to death of being in hospital).

I had what I was sure was clear signs of ovulation last week, egg white CM and it hurt slightly when having sex (sometimes does when I ovulate).

I had a bit of a stabbing pain in my lower left side today and got all panicked thinking about 'retained products' etc... So took another test to reassure myself it was negative.

However, I'm pretty sure it's not negative. It's ever so faint but I'm fairly confident there is a line there.

I'm really worried, should I go back to have bloods redone? Surely after three weeks and a HCG level of just 250, it should be back to 0 by now?

Really sorry for your loss Flowers

But yes you are right, and retained material is possible. I think you need to get it checked

Are you sure it’s an actual line and not an evaporation line. The best test to use is a first response test or failing that one with pink dye. If you get a line on the first response then defo get checked. Sorry for your loss. Xx I’ve come home today after medical management for mmc at 8 weeks. It’ll be one of the only times that I’ll take a pregnancy test (in 3 weeks) and hope it’s negative! Xxx

@Lumpy76 it may well be. There's definitely something there but it's very faint. I can't quite catch it on my shitty cam but...

I think I'll try an FRER just in case.

I wasn't worried at all until the short stabby pains this afternoon. The bleeding stopped within 5 days and I've had no pain (until today). It's just when I saw that little hit of a line I panicked!

Sorry to hear you're going through this too Flowers I hope your test is negative in a few weeks (and that you get a sticky positive shortly after!!!) Xxx
