2nd possible miscarriage, advice needed

I have just returned from the hospital after a reassurance scan. I thought I was 9 weeks pregnant, but the baby was only measuring 6 weeks and there was no heartbeat. The sonographer said I had to come back in one weeks time to confirm that I had miscarried. I am very sure about my dates, so can't see how I haven't miscarried, plus shouldn't there be a heartbeat at 6 weeks? I didn't have any pain or bleeding. This is the second time this has happened to me, I had a miscarriage earlier this year. I am so sad. Has anyone had any experiences they could share with me? Is the outcome in this situation always a miscarriage? Thank you for listening.

Also, I have tilted uterus. Could this effect the ultrasound?

I’ve just experienced a similar experience to what you are going through and it’s horrible. I was termed as a ‘missed miscarriage’ - my embryo stopped growing at 5/6 weeks but my body continued to think it was pregnant and I found out at 9 weeks during an early pregnancy scan as I spotted one morning (I had no other symptoms).
I was told they do another scan after a week to make 100% sure if the embryo is growing or sadly not. That week in between I found really hard but appreciated there was another check, if that makes sense.
I really feel for you as it’s tough emotionally and is drawn out whilst you wait, it’s also really difficult to explain to people. Sorry you are going through this.
