How much blood is too much

Hi Everyone,

I sadly am going through a miscarriage at 10 weeks. I bled very lightly most of last week, heavily on Saturday, extremely heavy on Sunday (had to go to A&E) and I'm still bleeding like it's the first couple of days of my period now. Does this sound "normal"? It just feels like an awful lot.

I’m so sorry for your loss Shelly. I think every mc is different but if you are worried speak to your EPU at the hospital or your GP so they can keep an eye on you x

shelley in answer to how much is too much, standard NHS guidelines are that if you fill a pad within an hour or less, that is classed as a haemorrhage and you should be checked out. If you bleed insane amounts over a longer period however, this can be pretty normal, I'm sorry I know its awful :(
If you start to feel very unwell, go to be checked out, and always make sure you have someone at home with you in case of haemorrhage.
