It was suggested to me by my consultant to take it after a positive result but not before.

Yes - during the pregnancy, as advised by my obstetric physician.

I took it after three miscarriages (and IVF). It’s hard to be sure but I think it helped me both get pregnant spontaneously and stay pregnant.

Yes, was advised to when TTC and throughout the pregnancy.

Perhaps speak to your GP. Some people will have been advised this, but it doesn't mean it suits all. Everybody's circumstances are different. Don't self medicate because some strangers said their GP advised it. For every person who answers the thread saying they were told to take it, there will be one who doesn't answer who was told not to.

No more than the small 75mg tablets once per day. Your GP may or may not help - they are not always clued up about conception and miscarriage....mine wasn’t at all.

Rarfy · 06/09/2018 12:09

I was advised to take 75mg with no testing at all after an mmc a stillbirth and a second trimester mmc. Im currently 19+2 everything looking well at the moment.

I take b12, vitamin d, 5mg folic acid and a pregnancy multi vitamin as well.

Yes I don't think my GP will have a clue that's why I was keen to try myself!! Thanks for the answers ☺️

I've been taking 150mg a day from 14 weeks after a late miscarriage last pregnancy. I'm currently 22 weeks and all seems good

Jay92 · 06/09/2018 12:32

I know everyone is different but I just wondered is it recommended to take when trying ?

GP is going to know more than random internet strangers Confused. They don't have to be clued up about conception and miscarriage to know whether or not it's safe for a patient to take aspirin on the daily. There are other factors to consider. Please speak to your GP. Even if they don't think it can help, they will be able to assess any risks involved with the individual taking it. Because everyone is different. Everyone has different medical needs.
