Sorry I am new so not sure if posting in correct place.
On the 7th of August I found out I was expecting (I have one daughter who is 15 months).i had only come off of cerazette exactly 4 weeks prior so it was a bit of surprise however my husband and I were happy. For some reason I just had a terrible feeling something was wrong. I bought a clearblue which said 1-2 weeks.i repeated it over a week later and it said the same thing, I then got bad back pain so went to the Dr. She thought I had just hurt my back and I think thought I was a bit silly requesting an HCG test but did so anyway. We then repeated it after 48 hours and it had increased however not quite doubled (60-104). They asked me to repeat bloods at EPU who were optimistic however the result wasn’t so positive this time and it came back with only an increase of 10. I was therefore informed the pregnancy was over. I was sent for a scan and they couldn’t see anything last Wednesday so asked I come back for repeat bloods today. I had started to bleed so in a way felt somewhat of a relief that it was hopefully over (as I was distraught) and we could move on but the results today showed a small increase in my HCG again. I have to go for another scan Wednesday as they can’t fit me in tomorrow but they are concerned about ectopic. I am really scared and feel like I’m on a rollercoaster that I can’t get off. I thought having bled Friday and Saturday quite heavily the ordeal would be over soon. My husband goes away on business next week for a month so I’m just in a bit of a panic. I want to expand our family but I’m scared of the risks of ectopic, I am also worried that I’m walking about with it in a slightly dangerous position. They keep saying they are concerned but nothing is really progressing to a solution. My parents are away on holiday and as mentioned my husband goes away soon so I have no help soon. Has anyone had a similar experience? Ectopic is my worst nightmare but they did say the risk of having one was higher if cerazette was in my system when I fell pregnant

Hi I’m afraid I don’t have any experience of ectopic but I just wanted to say I’m sorry you are going through this. Hope you get some answers soon x

Thank you @K0013 I am due to go in today for the methotrexate injection to try to dissolve the pregnancy. They saw a shadow in my tube so are assuming it is ectopic unfortunately.

Hi I have just had an ectopic which started like yours back ache and also some spotting! My levels were going up very slowly. Mine was managed expectantly so no need for the injection or surgery. My levels reached 0 after about 6 weeks. It is a horrible time and takes its toll on you. Make sure you have lots of rest and support. Really sorry for your loss x
