6+2 weeks empty pregnancy sac

I have just found out I'm pregnant again with my third which was planned so we are delighted 😁previously I have had 4 early miscarriages all of them not passing 6 weeks. Because of this when I was pregnant with my second child they sent me for an early scan. This was an external scan and at 6+4 weeks there was a heartbeat visible and I went on to have a healthy baby boy. Yesterday I went for an early scan at 6+2 which they done internally. This time she told me there was only a pregnancy sac but she couldn't see the yolk sac or a fetus she said either the pregnancy is not viable or that I am earlier than what I think. They have booked me in for another scan in 2 weeks. Im confused because I am very certain of my dates as I have a 26 day cycle bang on and my LMP was 18th June. So my dates are 6+2? Has this happened to anyone else should I be worried? My symptoms so far are dull back ache and some mild cramping. Usually I'm being really sick by now but it's hasn't kicked in yet? With my first 2 it was really bad all day every day till end of my pregnancy and started about 6/7 weeks. I have had waves of it but not as bad as previous. Anybody had empty pregnancy sac at this stage and gone on to have healthy pregnancies?

I had pretty much the same experience. Sadly it did not end well for me and I miscarried a week after the scan where I was asked if my dates were right etc. However I did fall pregnant again very soon afterwards and had a perfectly healthy pregnancy.

I hope you have some RL support. There is light at the end of the tunnel

Yes really is shit. We've been trying for a year since my second as there's a big age gap between my first 2. I had an early miscarriage in April 😢

Im going through the same and have just posted my story. Im hoping somethig will show soon as my hcg levels are still rising but i have been bleeding a week. Definitely not miscarrying as levels going up but they cant tell me why im bleeding or if this preg is viable. Been told to wait and see!

I've just looked for your story and can't find it. Do you mind sharing it with me. I'm not bleeding but I'm getting cramps And it's getting me worries. I've still got a week and half to go. Also really annoyed as they haven't took my blood levels 😡 my symptoms have basically gone but I'm still clinging to hope x

New to here. This is my first post. So i was referred to EPAU with pains and bleeding. I thought I had had a miscarriage. I thought i was 6w4d at the time, had a scan which showed empty sac. Was told i would have my bloods monitored and a repeat scan. A few days later i went in to a+e in pain in my side of abdominal and was concerned it was ectopic as at the first scan they diagnosed it as Pregnancy of Unknown Location and that they couldnt rule out ectopic. They scanned again, still no change but couldn’t see any free fluid and were satisfied i was ok to go home. Hcg levels over each 48hr period is as follows: 1804~2122~2849. Another test tomorrow and scan monday. I know the last date we bd’d and i know when i had my positive Ov test so feel my dates cant be far out and put me at between 6-7weeks so am worrying that no yolk sac has still been seen. Any experiences? I am still bleeding a week on like a period but my cervix is closed and they cant see any reason for the bleed although i do have a cervical ectropium. Sorry for essay! All comments/experiences welcome.

Fingers crossed for you all is ok. I've been reading posts and it's very mixed. some say you should see yolk sac by now and some say there's didn't show till 7 or 8 weeks plus with a baby and healthy heartbeat. I'm clinging on to so much hope. How long ago did you have your first scan? Mine was Wednesday and told I can't go back for 2 weeks. Going to call tomorrow and ask for my bloods to be done

Yes same here lovely. Just hoping and hoping as this is my first pregnancy so really want it to be ok. I had a scan last monday, then second scan friday. They are going to do a third scan monday or tuesday and a final one the week after. Just praying my little bean is hiding and will appear. I would defo get bloods done as it has been helpful to me to see that im still carrying as i was sure i had miscarried due to the bleeding. X

Also i agree that so much i have read states yolk sac and fetal pole/baby has not been seen until 7-8weeks. X

Had my bloods today. Still rising but much too slow. Scan tomorrow and if nothing still then i've been told its highly likely ectopic and have been heavily advised to terminate or risk rupturing and losing a tube. End of the road for me hope you have better luck!

Just came out of hospital. Unfortunately it was ectopic but my body has started miscarrying naturally. Back friday for bloods to check levels have come down and if they havent then i'll have a laparoscopy. Thanks for support. Hope you have better luck x

😢 sorry to hear this. I have a scan today so will keep you posted. Some people say that after they have been pregnant and lost a baby that they have got pregnant again and had a healthy pregnancy. Keep trying and don't give up hope. Sending well wishes. Xx

An update on me. I went for a scan yesterday and sac
Grown to 11 mom but no yolk or fetus still. So it is a miscarriage 😢Thanks for replies I hope to go for a d and c and start trying again asap xx
