First period after miscarriage

I had a mmc 6 weeks ago at 13 weeks (baby measured 9) I had pink discharge and then brown spotting on Sunday and stupidly thought it could be implantation, anyway it wasn't it turned to red blood on Monday night but it seems to of gone brown again and near enough stopped?! Surely my period isn't going to be 2 days long I was told to prepare for alot of pain, blood and clots but I haven't had this? Maybe my body is been nice to me or maybe its fcked. Any experiences?!

I had that followed by the mother of all periods a week later. Sometimes it takes a bit of adjustment.

Simile to mine. I had a natural mmc at 11+3 but baby hadn’t progressed much past 7 weeks.
My first period started the same as the mc -brown stringy mucus for 3/4 days, nothing for a few days then heavy bleeding for a day, back to brown and so on for 10 days.

I’ve just finished my 3rd period since the mmc and it’s the first one that had some semblance of ‘normal’

@xjune88 I would recommend getting slightly thicker pads than you would normally have and to prepare for painful cramps with the first one - I found Solpadeine Max was the only thing that took the edge off it

After that one it went pretty much back to normal - hopefully yours will be the same. You might get lucky and not get the period from hell but I always felt better when I was prepared for the worst!

One thing I will say is if you keep getting random spotting but no period as such, do give your EPU a call just to check you don't need to be given a once over x

@mmmgoats thankyou I've had 2 scans to check for retained products and all was clear just had a cyst on my ovary. The bleeding seems to of started again so I'll just see what happens. I bled and spotted after mc but haven't bled for about 4 weeks so I'm not concerned xx
