Am I having a miscarriage?

I am about 5 weeks pregnant so very early, got fresh red blood (no clots) similar amount to a period but no cramping etc. Is this likely to be a miscarriage? Going to EPU tomorrow so need to prepare myself for the worse

If you hadn't done a pregnancy test, so didn't know you are pregnant, what would you think?

Could be messy implantation? I got this at 6 weeks, fresh blood and cramping. I went to the hospital who told me that it was too early yet to say if the pregnancy was still viable or not but to expect the worst. A week later I went back for another scan and this time they were able to confirm that the pregnancy was there and it could just have been a messy implantation.

No clots is a very good sign.

But I don't want to raise your hopes. Just carry on as best you can until you can get it confirmed.

No clots or cramping is a good sign it is quite common to have bleeding in early stages of pg, but i don't want to raise hopes incase i'm wrong, the best thing i could advise is that if at all possible try to relax yourself as much as you can tonight. i hope all goes well for you tomorrow x

Good question Belgo, I'd think it was a light period.
