How long would leave it before calling back?

Currently 10 weeks pregnant. Woke up this morning to find I had had a large bleed (through pants, pj bottoms and onto the bed). Called 24hr midwife line who referred me to the pregnancy support for unit at my local hospital (this was about 6am)

Advised they would call me back in the morning once they opened. They would have opened at 8am. I've not heard anything as yet.

How long would you leave it before phoning again? I was told to call back if bleeding got worse/was in a lot of pain. Bleeding has mostly stopped, just very small amount now and I've no pain.

I don't want to be unreasonable and chase to soon (appreciate they will be very busy) but I'm also sick with worry.

You must be really worried. I would ring back now. I had some bleeding when I was 7 weeks with DS and they had me straight in.

Thanks hotchips, I've just made a cup of tea (trying to stay calm). Going to finish that and call them. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't being unreasonable.

Hi, just thought I would update for anyone finding this.

Happy ending for me my DD was born in Dec. 33+6. Short stay in nicu but home now.

I bled, sometimes very heavily, until week 18.

Anyone in the sand boat I was advise to get guidance from a midwife or doctor

Congratulations!! I had a heavy clotting bleed at 12 weeks which lasted 6 weeks ... slowing down to black blood so not as heavy or even the same as was on first few days of course ... and she's nearly 11 now ❤️❤️

Thanks @flumpybear Smile

You hear of the happy stories. But I was almost too terrified to hope. I had bled with two previous pregnancies but both sadly ended in miscarriage
