I had my 3rd scan today. 1st was at 4 weeks where they saw a sac. 2nd scan was at 4 weeks, 4 days and they saw a sac and yolk. Today at 5 weeks, 6 days they can now see a fetal pole but are concerned as they cannot see a heartbeat and said to prepare for a mc. I have another scan in a week to confirm. I’m so sad. I thought it would be too early to see a heartbeat anyway?

Op I'm sorry you are going through this.

I'm 6+6 and had a scan a couple of days ago and they couldn't find a heartbeat, I've also been warned it'll end in miscarriage.

Some will say it took until they were 8 weeks but I was 5.5 weeks when they saw my DS's heartbeat in my last pregnancy. Thanks

I'm surprised they said that at just 5+6. I had a sac and fetal pole at 5+6 with my first DD and they never said anything about the lack of heartbeat being worrying. When I was scanned again at 8 weeks the heartbeat was strong. Don't want to give you false hope but I'd definitely try and stay positive until your scan next week.

When I had a scan for bleeding with my dd they said the earliest they could definitely say there is or isn't a heartbeat was at 8weeks. Often it isn't there till 6, a lot can happen in a few days! Keep hope!

Oh OP are you ok? I'm 5+5 and had a scan this morning and measured 4 1/2w with empty sac. I'm preparing myself for mc. I saw a heartbeat with DD at 5+3

Just to let you know that I had a mc (with medication) 7 weeks and 1 day. No pregnancy is is the same and certainly no miscarriage is the same. I had stronger painkillers this time but it definitely wasn’t easier than the first in February which was also at 7 weeks. I feel numb. I feel scared. I feel alone.

A bit of a shock on my end - went back for another scan (after I was feeling nauseous and vomiting) and there was a little bean with a heartbeat. Totally confused as my dates just didn't add up! But here we are.
