Still bleeding 1 week post-ERPC

I’m currently one week post ERPC and have been bleeding now for two weeks (I started bleeding the Sunday before I had the ERPC, MMC confirmed on the Tuesday)

I had extreme pain Monday/Tuesday of this week so had a scan and was told there were no retained products - I passed a lump of tissue on Tuesday which was obviously part of the foetus/baby, and a lump of hard red tissue on Wednesday.

Since the procedure the bleeding has been like a normal period, heavy at times but never soaking through pads quickly. There are some clots but they’re very small and I had an almost negative pregnancy test this morning. Is it normal to still be bleeding like this? I’m just fed up now and want some intimacy with my husband and to stop worrying that my insides are going to fall out!

@sophiee1987: I’ve been told yes, it can take up to 3-4 weeks. If you’re still bleeding after 3-4 weeks, call your doctor back and get checked out

I think this is pretty normal, but you do need to take it easy. In my experience the more I did the more I bled, so a day or two on the sofa eating biscuits might be a good idea.

I think this is normal. If it gets very heavy or painful though I'd seek medical attention. Sorry you're going through this

Thanks all - you’re probably right about the actually resting, I’ve been trying to keep myself busy which is probably a good idea mentally but not so much physically, a day in bed for me tomorrow
