Is this a miscarriage?

Hi, about a month ago we had a mishap with a condom, bloody thing came off and went everywhere, about 2 weeks later I was quite late on my period, and when it came it was very very light, I'm normally a light bleeder but this was unusual even for me, going forward to now a couple of weeks after my 'period' and I'm bleeding extremely heavily, soaking through tampons quickly and going through to my clothes quite badly, I'm not in much pain but my lower back aches and I'm just having general period like cramps (which I never normally get during my period, only before) does this sound like a miscarriage? Or would I be in a lot more pain? Bit confused 😔

Sorry you’re going through this. Have you taken a test? If you are experiencing a miscarriage there would likely still be enough HCG in your system to be detected on a home test. Any heavy/abnormal bleeding should always be checked at your doctors though so it might be best to book a appointment ASAP! X

If it might be a miscarriage please don't use tampons, use pads. Sorry you're going through this x

Thanks for the replies :) I had taken a test a couple of weeks ago it had a really faint positive, and the other test I took was negative but then that same day I started a period so I thought it was a faulty test, but the period was extremely light, shit, I've been using tampons as well as pads... it's tailing off now though, having a slight panic! I feel guilty as I didn't want another baby and now it's like the universe telling me I got my wish :(

Please don't think that, there's nothing you could have done to cause or prevent this.

I would go to doctors though if this is all unusual for you.
