I previously posted under another name, I sadly miscarried at 12 weeks late last year.
I was lucky enough to conceive again a couple of months ago however it’s not been plain sailing again.
I had a bleed at about 6 weeks, only small so didn’t think much of it but booked in for an early scan at 7 weeks, by that time I’d had another small bleed
Scan showed empty sac at 15mm and was told in all probability to prepare for the worst unless I thought my dates might be out, I was sure they weren’t.
At the EPU they did a blood test however the results didn’t show a particularly large drop in hgc levels like one would expect and they asked me to return 4 days later for the same test. In this time I had a small bleed but again only slight and no pain. The 2nd blood test only revealed a small drop again so they advised me that they aren’t ruling out ectopic and to return again in 4 days for more blood tests.
I am due back in again Tuesday morning and so far had no bleeding or pain.
I have a loss of pregnancy symptoms all day (previously felt nauseous and tired 24/7) now it only comes on at about 4pm but during the evening I feel very much pregnant
Has anyone else experienced this? Feeling quite scared that it might be ectopic and been reading all sorts of horror stories.
For a bit of history I don’t have any other children, last year was the first time I conceived and I had heavy bleeding weekly from 8 weeks, scan found a heartbeat everytime until just past 12 weeks where I was taken into A&E suddenly (had seen a heartbeat only the day before) and had a long drawn out 6 hour session of contractions until the baby and placenta passed, had to have a drip for fluids and plenty of morphine!)
So this time round is very different, I’m not as emotionally wrecked but quite scared all the same.
