Medically Managed Miscarriage. How Long?

Hi Everyone.
I had tablets sublingually at teatime this afternoon to bring on a missed miscarriage. Apart from feeling tired with mild cramping, 4.5 hours later: nothing.

I am a little nervous but am armed with strong pain relief. I am more concerned about having to repeat the treatment.

Can anyone be kind enough to share their experience and time frame of an induced miscarriage?

Hi,

Firstly I'm ever so sorry this has happened to you.
Every person is different, honestly, just in the way they respond to the drugs so it's hard to say whats normal and what isn't, but you shouldn't have to repeat the process, I didn't and I've never heard of anyone doing that?
I can't remember too much about duration to be honest but I do remember arming myself with a self care kit for after, just lots of vitamins (b12 and iron for blood loss), candles, mindfulness and all the practicalities like pads and feel good comfy clothes.

You'll be fine, just take good care of yourself xxxx

Thanks for responding. It's happening now and not that painful. I was prepared for the worst! Stocked up on pads and disposable changing mats to sleep on- just in case.

Yes, thank you. Thanks to the dihydrocodeine, it was all completely painless. It's a lovely day today and would love to take DS out, but I don't know how much I have left to pass.
