Multiple miscarriages and progesterone

Hi, i am ttc my 1st baby and I’ve just had a 3rd miscarriage in a row. I’ve been referred for basic tests on the NHS and so far no cause has been found other than ‘bad luck’. My progesterone levels have always been low, but in the UK the NHS do not believe in giving progesterone suppositories due to the recent PROMISE trial outcomes. I really don’t think I could cope with another MC. Does anyone know how I can get a private prescription for progesterone just in case? And has anyone had a successful 4th pregnancy with no medical intervention?

Many thanks!

Hi!
Sorry to hear this.
I can’t really give you any answers but I didn’t want to read and run.
I’ve had 2 miscarriages in a row! 1 cycle inbetween and yes the thought of another is horrid so I talk myself out of pregnancy everyday.
I’ve had the same tests as you and no outcome! I’m not sure if anywhere else do more in depth tests but we’ve just been told it’s “bad luck” aswell. We’ve also seen a private consultation at and ivf clinic and he said the same and didn’t advise ivf at this stage! It’s all very rubbish and we need to keep our chin up!!! X

Hello
So sorry you're here.
Just wanted to let you know that after my 3rd miscarriage I was referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic in Coventry under professor quenby and she prescribed me progesterone....due to a short luteal phase.
Are you under a recurrent miscarriage clinic?x
