Have my D&C tomorrow, anyone care to share what you brought with you?

Things to do during the waiting around (Books/knitting/puzzles).

Big sanitary pads.

Extra underwear (didn't need it but just in case).

Cosy socks and slippers.

Tissues.

Wear comfy clothes and maybe have some pyjamas and toiletries ready at home for someone to pick up for you just in case you need an over-night stay. (But you probably won't).

Hope it goes well. Let us know.

Add to that to definitely bring a dressing gown and slippers. I've had two d&C's, the second one on Tues just this week. I wasn't told anything the first time about what to bring and ended up walking to theatre in my trainers and two hospital gowns. They asked "why didn't you bring your slippers and a night gown?", Eh, as I had no idea I would need them. I felt a bit like a waif on the ward. The second time I knew better and felt much better.

Download some music/podcasts, I had no brain for reading a book but podcasts were perfect to distract from the situation.

Best of luck and I hope it's all over quickly for you. X

That's me done. I'm private so got treated like royalty, taken to
Theatre in my bed and transferred. Very respectful and caring. Wouldn't say I 'enjoyed' the experience of being here but they have definitely
Made it a lot easier . Bleeding a bit, out of recovery and just having some tea and toast. I didn't feel anything and have no pain at the moment.

Good on you. Glad it's all over for you. Rest up and enjoy your tea and toast. X
