I had a miscarriage about 4 or 5 months ago.. it was around april of 2004. I started my period on my 27th of 2004.. it was short and sweet. about 3 days of light bleeding.. then I started a normal period on June 28th. But it is not August 4 th and nothing> i'm worried that i'm pregnant.. but I also started a new job and moved in june.. so i'm wondering if that stress his playing a part in my missing period.. also my new job is taking care of 4 adult girls so i'm wondering if that might also be playing a part in my missed period..

it is quite possible that your cycle would be irregular for the reasons you suggest, but the only real way for you to be sure is to take a test.

mummytosteven · 04/08/2004 21:20

why are you scared rachann?

rachann · 04/08/2004 21:21

i figured that.. thanks though.. I'm just very nervous.. i don't really want to be pregnant.. and i just wanted some reasurrance that it could be those things that are making my period late.

Stress can always play a factor, so it is possible in theory. The best thing is to do the test asap, and find out either way. I know what you mean about being scared. If you are not ready to be pg it seems like the worst thing in the world to happen. Can I ask why you are scared?

mummytosteven · 04/08/2004 21:23

sorry that i can't give you the reassurance you need. From June 28th to August 4th doesn't sound that long - I have certainly had periods six weeks apart before now - are usually very regular? Just wondering if you didn't want to be pg because you didn't want to be pg, or because you were scared because of having an m/c so recently.

rachann · 04/08/2004 21:24

well i just had a miscarriage about 5 months ago. and i'm not really ready for a baby now.. since the miscarriage. plus i'm only 20.. so i'm just worried..

I would go and do the test Rachann. It's better to know one way or the other, rather than torturing yourself wondering.

mummytosteven · 04/08/2004 21:26

sorry to nag you rachann, but agree with Lou, that best to know one way or the other as soon as possible. me & Lou will be here for you when you get the result, if you want to chat then

take care
X
