Missed miscarriage/D&C/emergency laparoscopy

Hi
I have never wrote on a board before but I need a little help. I was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage when i went for a 12 week scan, the baby had died at 9 weeks. I took two doses of the miscarriage tablets over 78 hours and nothing happened. I was then scheduled for a D&C the next day. During the D&C there were complications and i lost 4 units of blood and they had to do an emergency laparoscopy, i was intubated and sent to ICU. I've now been transferred home with no advice and with no real explanation as to why all this happened. Can anyone advise me what to do? I mean I dont even no when i can run again or have sex (not that I want to) or anything like that?!
This was in a UK hospital any help would be so appreciated feeling a bit lost.

KingyL wow I'm so sorry this happened. To be honest I think you're probably traumatized. If I were you I would phone the gynae ward you were in and ask some of these questions first. Usually the nurses in the ward are helpful on the phone and can give you advice. Were you not even given a patient advice leaflet when you left?

I think secondly, you need to write to your complaints and feedback team within your health board. Explaining your situation and you now want answers. You were probably running on autopilot after the surgery etc and didn't think to ask much. Which is understandable. In the letter you can ask why this happened to you? That you received no aftercare advice and have unanswered questions.

I really feel for you, I suffered a large bleed last weekend thanks to failed tfmr and didn't receive much explanation or advice.

Take care
