TTC after missed miscarriage

Following a missed miscarriage and the operation to remove the baby (erpc) I've been told to wait one cycle to conceive naturally or 3 for IVF. I'm just a bit confused by what a cycle means. I obviously know what a cycle is but just in terms of waiting. Does this mean I have to have 2 periods - so one full cycle or does it just mean wait for your first period. If it means from bleed to bleed and then TTC it just feel like a lifetime away if I have to wait for 3 full cycles as this will be four periods I need to wait for won't it?

Does that make sense? It's hard to explain what I mean when I'm writing it.

I think it means your first period is the end of the first cycle.

I would take it as you can start first (or 3rd) period after miscarriage, so bleeding after erpc and then your next (or 3) period. Sorry for your loss.

I stop bleeding after 2 days on from erpc and my first period was 28 days later.

Thanks for your help.

So basically after my 3rd cd1 I can go for IVF that month?

Xx

Yes I would say so, maybe contact your ivf provider and see if they agree.
