AF after miscarriage

Hi everyone

So it’s been 8 weeks now since I found out I had had a missed miscarriage & 7 weeks since I passed everything naturally and I have still not had a period and I’m sure I’ve not even ovulated. I was told to expect to get a period within 4-6 weeks but before the miscarriage I did have longer cycles around 38 days so thought it might take a bit longer but starting to get concerned now.

Just wondered how long it has taken everyone else to get their first period. Not sure whether to call GP or just wait and see what happens. Desperate to try again and it’s getting so frustrating.

I’d speak to your GP but be prepared for them to tell you it’s normal.

Mine came back exactly 4 weeks after each loss, which is what they were before.

I’ve been wondering this too. It’s been over five weeks since I had a MC at 6 weeks. AF was irregular before so now I’m scared I’m going to be waiting a very long time for AF to show up 😞 my longest cycle before was 36 days and I’m already past that.

@pumpkinpatch000 It’s just frustrating waiting and not knowing what your body is doing. When I first stopped taking the pill I waited 3 months to get my first period and then they were every 42 days, they had finally started to become more regular after 11 months off the pill & then I got my Bfp and I’m worried the miscarriage has messed them up again. I think I’ll call my gp this week but I know they will just tell me everybody is different and to keep waiting x
