2nd Miscarriage in 3 Months

Hi, I've just started bleeding following a week of faint positives (had a feeling barely visible progression did not bode well). Not sure if that makes it a chemical or just a very early miscarriage or if the two are the same.

Either way I had a MMC at the beginning of December at 9 weeks. It eventually came away naturally and no D&C needed but took a long time to finally get a negative pregnancy test after that one and I'm wondering if it's possible the something to do with the first one caused the second.

Just looking for answers I guess, like everyone else. Desperate for a sibling for DS (2.5years) and just feeling a bit broken after this last one.

Anyone had a similar situation? Worth going to GP?

Hi tweedles. I don’t have any advice as such but it seems like the same has happened to me in the last 3 months but the other way round... early loss at 5 weeks in December and today went for a scan to see an empty scan and nothing growing at 8 weeks... Sending hugs and understanding as I know how horrible both are. Also feeling completely broken and once this is all over I think I need a break from trying for a while xx

That was meant to say empty sac not empty scan! Been a long day.

I did go to the GP after the early loss just to get it logged in case it kept happening, she didn’t really suggest much - apart from sent for a blood test which showed I was no longer pregnant.

Thank you Mango - how horrible for you also. So sad how many of us are in this boat. I also don't know how many more times I can put myself through it but it's already so much bigger age gap than we had planned. Just devastating second time around. I'll try to see GP tomorrow. Rest up and take it easy yourself. Big hugs.

It sure is. Good luck with everything. I have seen a lot of people (including me) getting good news quickly after those horrible early losses. My fingers & toes are crossed for you xx

Hi OP sorry for your losses. I've had so MC in the last three months too. One a blighted ovum just before 12 weeks and the other an early loss at 5 weeks. Now I'm waiting to try again but obviously terrified! I've been to my GP to have things on my record and have had an appointment with a specialist who has ran some blood tests so I feel like I'm doing something. Good luck it's not an easy thing to cope with.
