Hi all,
Just need some advice about tests. I've had one ds and 4 miscarriages in a row. Received a genetic test and a blood clotting test both were normal. My last pregnancy they gave me progesterone pesseries but still miscarried.
I've never had progesterone level checked. I've read a lot lately and all the symptoms of low progesterone levels fit me. Before the miscarriages I started getting spotting in the days before my period. I went to the gp about it and it was dismissed as just natural changes of getting older (I'm only 32). Since my healthy pregnancy and giving up breast feeding 2 years ago I've not felt like the same person. Terrible pms (Never really suffered before), headaches and low energy. Could of course just be being a parent, I know!
I want to know what my options are. It seems like a bad idea to try and get pregnant if im just going to lose another one. Can I ask the nhs to test my progesterone levels? Would i have to go through my gp as I'm assuming I would have been discharged from the consultant I was under as not currently pregnant. Is our only option to go private? Anyone got experience of this?
Thanks
