Missed miscarriage

I found out two weeks ago I had a missed miscarriage. I started bleeding lightly a week ago but had lots of stomach cramps. Today at work, I stood up and it felt like when your waters break, but it was blood. A lot of it, this evening it has happened again. I was just wondering if anyone else has the same thing and if it's normal? I wasn't expecting it happen like that. Any advice or experience would be appreciated.
TIA

This is how my miscarriage happened, started with loads of blood, same feeling as you describe like waters breaking. It then continued on for hours with some pretty large clots. I was lucky enough to have no pain throughout it but the foetus was only 3mm big and I was in w9 (it stopped developing prob in w5 or 6). Don't go to work tomorrow and be prepared to call dr or hospital if you are in pain. Hope you are ok, hugs.

I also had light bleeding for a few days before all the blood and clots came out in one day (all within 5-6hours) then it slowed down.

This just happened to me yesterday @MummaRvr87. Light bleeding on Saturday and then extremely heavy gushing type bleeding yesterday. Ended up in A&E is was that heavy.
Should only last 6-10 hours max. If it continues or makes you feel unwell, faint or dizzy call your doctor or hospital. They say if you soak a pad in less than an hour continuously then you should seek medical advice. Take care x

I was diagnosed with MMC at 8+5 on Wednesday last week. I’ve been bleeding lightly since then and I’m absolutely desperate to get it over with. I even stupidly took a pregnancy test this morning in the hope that the line was fading but it’s the darkest line I’ve ever seen!

Wasn't prepared at all especially for that feeling like waters! Made it so much more devastating as I remember that feeling from having my youngest daughter Glad to know it's normal wasn't really given any advice at hospital on what to expect! Feel a lot better this morning pain wise but really on edge in case it happens again! Been reading thru all of your posts, so shocked to see how many other people are going thru the same thing. Sorry for all your losses too. It's hard to talk about with people who haven't experienced it, I know they're tryin to say the right things but they're really not! Really struggling with trying to move on from this. Feel like people expect me to just forget about this baby, well bean I was 6w+1 when it stopped growing. But I feel as though I've had my baby ripped away from me!

So sorry for your loss. Heavy bleeding may well be normal but I would get it checked out at GP today or go back to clinic . I only say that because my heavy bleeding was an indication that I needed a D&C. Not everyone does, but I did ( in fact after both miscarriages and birth of my daughter). No one will think you are wasting their time, don't sit and fret. And more than a pad an hour is heavy bleeding

I also find that people who haven't been through it can't really understand. And yes, also it is shocking to find out how many women have been through it, and how it is not talked about enough. We are just expected to carry on, move on but it's not only physically exhausting it's also emotionally difficult. Take care, x

I'm so sorry for your loss x I agree with Beatrice. It's not spoken about enough and unless you have been through it I don't think anyone can truly understand the physical but also the physcological pain of a miscarriage. Hear if you need to talk, I've been through it twice within the last 5 months and it's awful beyond words xx

So stupidly I went to work again today! The bleeding was really light this morning so I thought the worst was over. I work in an office so not physical! By 2 o'clock cramps had started really strong and I had the feeling of waters break in again, made it to the loo this time and left. I got in the bath when I got home but then found out I shouldn't have. The pain eased a lot tho the bleeding was more intense. I've been out about 20 mins now have passed another large clot but I'm worried about how much blood I'm losing. Will it be heavier for the moment due to the bath? Would much rather do this without any intervention as I have other 2 other children. My eldest is 11 and she knows something isn't right! She gets extremely emotional when she knows mummy is upset! I know they say more than a pad an hour but if I feel ok as in not dizzy sick or cold is worth a hospital visit? Sorry to ask on here but my doctors have been dreadful called them at 1 to get something stronger than paracetamol and still haven't had a calllback ! As well as the receptionist thinking she's a doctor!! Total joke !

@MummaRvr87 you poor thing, I hope it completes tonight. Definitely go to the hospital if you are worried about bleeding. Cramps are coming and going and slightly more bleeding here so I’m really hoping it properly kicks off tonight.

MummaRvr87 · 30/01/2018 19:46

@Paranormalbouquet bless you! I hope it's not to long for you. I was bleeding and spotting for a week before this hit so I guess I thought that was it. I was quite worried earlier, had everyone at the ready for hospital for it's settled down a bit now. I literally cannot believe how many people go through this. It doesn't even cross ur mind when u find out your pregnant. Obviously I know it's always a possibility, so glad there's this site, really helps to hear from people who are going thru it.

@MummaRvr87 I've had 2 earlier losses before but was actually hopeful this time as had terrible nausea and no bleeding. Serves me right for getting my hopes up I suppose.

Hope your bleeding has settled down? Mine still hasn't taken off really, it's frustrating. I'm a mix of desperate to be pregnant again and thinking I should hold back and wait for investigations.

MummaRvr87 · 20/02/2018 21:00

@Paranormalbouquet How u doin Hun? Wanted to post sooner but I had a really bad time and only just starting to deal with it. Got rushed into hospital as I'd lost too much blood and has a lot of clots on my ovary's. Spent 4 days in hospital and had to have emergency surgery. Was an awful experience, but this thread has been playing on my mind. Hope ur ok! X
