Last Monday the EPU confirmed I was miscarrying at around 7/8 weeks. I went home and stocked up on pain relief expecting the worst. The waiting and the fear of the unexpected was awful and I returned to the EPU today expecting the worst. I have only bled lightly and had mild cramps and passed a few large clots so was expecting a D&C but I have passed the baby naturally without knowing. I realise I may be rare in this experience but I just wanted to reassure women that it may not be as bad physically as you are expecting. I know everyone’s experiences are different but I just really wanted to share mine. I also wanted to say how amazing and caring the staff at the EPU were. They held my hand and wiped my tears and today, after confirming that my baby was gone, they gave me a bracelet and a little stone as a memory of my little one. To all the ladies going through the same thing...we are far stronger than we think. I am sending peace and love to you all xxx
