Is it what I Think?

I am 5 weeks pregnant. Today I had an awful cramp, and it started bright red blood. I eventually passed a hard lump that was about 3 mm in length. It had an outer shell, and there was something light and fleshy like inside. Ever since then there has been blood, and cramps. Should I be concerned? Is this a miscarriage?

It sounds like it could be. I'm really sorry. Do you have an obstetrician you can call? Thanks

Melanie591 · 26/01/2018 00:03

I don't. I haven't even gone to the doctors yet. I get these cramps in waves, and when I just went to the washroom, it was like a tap of red blood.

Obviously only a scan will tell you what is inside you but one of my miscarriages was like this including the fleshy lump. Sorry you’re going through this, it can be pretty shocking and upsetting.

I have had quite a few early miscarriages and that does sound very similar to my experiences, it's shite I'm really sorry,

Melanie591 · 26/01/2018 00:09

Thank you all. I think I will go to my doctor's tomorrow. I wasn't sure what that lump was but it was so tiny, and yet hard on the outside but there was something inside of it that looked weird - like an alien or a worm.

The blood turned from brown this morning to bright red so I'm assuming that isn't the best.

Now it's cramps and back aches. I'm in for the long haul I guess.

Hand hold here. 5 weeks too was booked in for reassurance tests on Saturday but bleeding with clots and cramping :( never thought I'd feel so sad. Very early but was my little bean. Hugs xxx

Leanne - I call mine my little apple seed. I'm assuming some bleeding is normal with pregnancy, but not loads.

Some bleeding is normal

Clots and pain is generally not good Flowers

xLeanne128 · 26/01/2018 07:50

Yeah @melanie591 mines pure red blood like a period but with lots of bits and things I've never seen before don't know if I've passed my little sac yet. Not gone to work today having a day to come to terms and cry and eat crappy things. Thinking of you. Think I'm going to stop doing opks, over testing and been on mumsnet it's great but makes you crazy and test early and get excited. Just never thought this would happen to me :(

Melanie591 · 26/01/2018 12:35

I'm really sorry @xLeanne128. I woke up multiple times through the night with sweats, pain and cramps. I, too, am getting little clots of weird things. I'm sorry

Just rang the early pregnancy unit they said i can still go in for scan and blood tests to confirm which is good of them. Yeah I've been burning up too! Hugs xx

Melanie591 · 26/01/2018 13:51

That is good! Please let me know how it goes. Every time I go to the washroom I hope there won't be blood but there is. And the cramps are horrendous.

No sign of pregnancy at all. Have to do a test later on next week to check for a negative x

SleepFreeZone · 27/01/2018 12:06

It does sound like it OP, I’m so sorry 💐
