Period following miscarriage

Hi all, so sorry to see you all in this group. Just a quick one - how long did it take you all to have your first period following a miscarriage?

5 and a half weeks and counting...

It was exactly 6 weeks for me xx

Mine was 30 days which is pretty consistent with normal periods (between 28-31 days).

But I’ve read different experiences and everyone’s different. Also sorry to see you on this board and hope you’re okay

Hi, currently waiting... Miscarried 3 weeks ago, stopped bleeding 2 weeks ago, but I'm now bleeding again and I don't know if it's residual mc bleeding or period- hoping its period but I think it may be too soon.

Sorry for your loss and everybody else’s. I miscarried mid November, bled for 19 days, no sign of my period at all. I think it’s down to the individual, there’s no set time I don’t think.

6 weeks 3 days.

I had a period start after 4 weeks, was pretty light and lasted about a week. Since then I've had spotting every day, nearly 2 and a half weeks now. I've read this could be an infection? Do you think it's best to go to the GP or is it a case of just seeing how things go since it's after the miscarraige?

ER1212 if you’ve been spotting that long it might be worth a chat with your gp, from what I was told when I was in hospital there’s nothing they do or can do for continued light bleeding or spotting but they might want to check your iron levels like they did with me. I doubt you have an infection as you would be having pretty nasty symptoms by now I should think.

Yes I was thinking there will be nothing they can do, we want to start ttc aswell, do you think there's any reason why not?

5 weeks exactly, I've come on today after having a missed miscarriage early December. 😢

For me it was 5 weeks after surgery for my mmc. It lasted 10 days and then I had another short period / bleed a few days after that for a few days.
