Still getting a positive test 5 weeks after D&C

Hi everyone. I tested 2 days ago on a FRER and got a faint positive, thought I may have conceived again. I went to the EPU yesterday and they took a blood test and said my HGC is 11 and progesterone 1.4 and to test again in a week. If I don't get a negative test they want me to go back next week.

I'm scared and worried and don't know what's going on. I didn't know to test after the D&C to see when I got a negative so I don't know if this is a new non viable pregnancy or hormones from the previous loss. But the D&C was 5 weeks ago!

Has this happened to anyone else? I can't stop going round in circles.

So sorry you're going through this. I did test fairly regularly afterwards and was still getting a positive 8 weeks after and there was no way it was a new pregnancy so it could still be from that. Hope you get some clarity soon x

Thanks for replying. The doctor seemed to think it is most likely hormones from the miscarriage but everything I've read online says these should have gone by now. I was worried incase it's a new ectopic pregnancy or a new non viable pregnancy.
