Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

How bad will it be?

Morning ladies.
I was six weeks pregnant yesterday with a much longed-for baby (we were TTC for a year) and yesterday I started spotting red blood. I went to EPU and they found an empty uterus but thickened lining. They took my blood and I have an appointment to go back for more blood tests tomorrow.

Last night I woke up with AWFUL cramps and more red blood. This morning I've passed a fair bit of blood including clots so fairly sure it's all over now.

Can anyone advise me on how bad this is likely to be please? It's my first MC and I'd like some warning on how long I can expect to bleed for and how heavy it will be.

Obviously, I'm devastated, but I find it easier to cope if I know what to expect.

Can anyone help?

Firstly op , I'm sorry for your loss.

I know all mcs are different but mine at six weeks began with spotting and back pain, a day or so later the back pain was bad enough for me to alternate ibuprofen and paracetamol. The next morning I started passing clots (like an extremely heavy period) , the bleeding then got lighter and lighter til it stopped 6 days later.

Please take care of yourselfFlowers
